Re-START (Recover by Sourcing, Tracing and Advanced Recycling) is a textile recovery alliance unlocking the value of waste. By creating the enabling conditions for textile recycling, it aims to bring 1 million additional tonnes of recycled fibres back into global supply chains to advance the circular economy.
The alliance is convened by Laudes Foundation with founding partners Canopy, Fashion for Good and IDH.

The alliance has identified four critical intervention areas necessary to scale circular textiles:
Policy, Feedstock, Market and Investment. Explore our focus areas below.
Projects in this workstream focus on fostering the enabling conditions for a thriving circular textiles industry. Central to this work is collaboration with local and national governments to establish shared infrastructure for textile waste collection and sorting. We also support policymakers with evidence-based guidance, mechanisms and incentives to support the development and implementation of effective, inclusive policies.

Our project hub details textile recycling initiatives in India.
